FendTag
Terms of Use
Last updated: 25 October 2026.
About these terms
These Terms of Use govern access to fendtag.com, FendTag accounts, activation, tag pages, finder messaging, Emergency Tag and other online FendTag features. Separate Terms of Sale apply when you buy a product. If you do not agree to these terms, do not create an account, activate a tag or use the platform.
About FendTag
Calder Signal Ltd, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Registered in England and Wales. Company number: 17492945. Contact: [email protected].
What FendTag does, and does not do
A Gear Tag gives a finder a way to open a web page and send an owner a message without the owner's email address or phone number being displayed by default.
Emergency Tag gives a person who opens the tag page access to emergency contacts the account holder has chosen to publish.
FendTag is not a GPS tracker and does not continuously track a tag, item or person.
A page opening or alert is not proof that a physical tag was scanned, an item was found, or an emergency occurred.
FendTag does not detect incidents, automatically call an emergency contact, contact 999/112, or guarantee that anyone will notice, scan, tap or act on a tag.
NFC/QR access depends on device compatibility and the live web page normally requires an internet connection.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be 18 or over to create an account or place an order. A parent or guardian may manage a tag for a child. You must provide accurate information, keep your login and activation credentials confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe your account or activation information has been compromised.
Activating and managing tags
A tag may only be activated by the person entitled to claim it. You must not attempt to claim, probe or take control of a tag that is not yours. We may block, retire or reissue a tag where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, support, replacement or legal compliance.
Your content and information
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of information you add to FendTag. Keep it current. Do not upload or publish information you do not have the right to use.
For Emergency Tag, only add emergency-contact information that the contact has agreed may be provided to FendTag and displayed publicly. If optional medical information is later enabled, separate consent and medical-data terms apply.
Finder messages
Finder messaging is intended to help a finder contact an owner about an item. We do not guarantee that a message is genuine, accurate or delivered by email, or that an owner or finder will respond. Users should use sensible precautions and should not share passwords, activation codes, financial information or unnecessary personal information.
Acceptable use
Do not use FendTag unlawfully, fraudulently, abusively or to harass another person.
Do not impersonate another person, submit deliberately false emergency information, or misuse someone else's contact details.
Do not attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits or security controls, scrape private information, reverse engineer security mechanisms, introduce malware, or interfere with the service.
Do not use finder messaging for spam, advertising, threats or unrelated communications.
Do not automate scans, page openings or message submissions in a way that creates false alerts or degrades the service.
Basic features and the meaning of 'no subscription required'
Basic features identified as included with an eligible FendTag can be used without a recurring subscription payment. Pro or other optional paid features may be offered separately.
“No subscription required” does not mean that every online feature, integration or service is guaranteed to remain unchanged or available forever. We may make reasonable changes for security, legal, technical, capacity or operational reasons. We will not use this clause to remove statutory consumer rights or to misrepresent a material feature that was promised as part of a purchase.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available, but websites, hosting, email, internet connections and third-party services can fail or require maintenance. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance or events outside our reasonable control.
If we make a material adverse change to a paid or included feature, we will consider the nature of the original promise, the age of the product/service and any rights you have under consumer law.
Emergency and safety
FendTag is a supplementary information/contact tool, not an emergency-response service. In an emergency in the UK, call 999 or 112 and follow the instructions of emergency services. Do not delay contacting emergency services in order to use FendTag.
Emergency information may be incomplete, outdated or entered incorrectly by a user. A person viewing a FendTag page should use their own judgement and should not treat FendTag as verified clinical information or professional medical advice.
Physical placement and compatibility
Follow the instructions supplied with the product and the instructions of the manufacturer of the item or helmet to which it is attached. Do not apply a tag where doing so could obstruct safety equipment, damage a surface, compromise a product or conflict with the manufacturer's guidance. FendTag does not claim compatibility with every material, coating, helmet or surface unless expressly stated for the specific product.
Intellectual property
FendTag and its licensors own the website, branding, software, product artwork and other protected content. We give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, exploit or reverse engineer protected parts of the service except where the law permits.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, block a tag or remove content where we reasonably believe these terms have been materially breached, the service is being abused, security is at risk, or the law requires it. Where practical and appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, business losses suffered by a consumer, or outcomes caused by information supplied by a user, third-party connectivity, a finder choosing not to act, or use of the service outside its stated purpose, except where the law says otherwise.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also have rights to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
