Privacy at FendTag

A way to connect.
A choice in what you share.

FendTag Gear Tags keep your contact details off the public page. FendTag Emergency Tag shows the contacts you choose to share. Here’s how those differences work.

Different pages. Different visibility.

What can someone see?

A way to message you. Not your contact details.

The page for your FendTag Gear Tags shows your item and a contact form. Your email address and phone number are not displayed there.

The private finder-message journey

Messages from FendTag Gear Tags

A message gets through.
Your details stay off the tag page.

  1. 01. The finder writes.

They provide a message and their email address through the page for your FendTag Gear Tags.

  2. 02. FendTag passes it on.

The message is saved for you and an email notification is sent to your registered address.

  3. 03. You choose how to reply.

Read it in your account and use the email address the finder supplied. If you reply by email, your email address can be visible to them.

FendTag Emergency Tag works differently

Chosen contacts.
Shared for a reason.

Your FendTag Emergency Tag page is intended to help someone reach your chosen contacts. Anyone with the link can see the contacts you share.

Ready to call.

The page displays the names and numbers you selected, with Call buttons.

Choose what you share.

Keep those contacts up to date. Tell the people you nominate that their details will be visible on your tag page.

A button is not a lock.

If medical information is shown behind a separate View button, anyone with the tag link can reveal it. That button is not an access restriction.

Your account

Access supports the service.

FendTag and the service providers it uses process information needed for accounts, stored records and email delivery. Keeping details off a tag page does not mean the service never processes them.
